OpenMensa RSS Overview

This directory hosts RSS feeds generated from OpenMensa canteen data.

Each feed is named after its corresponding OpenMensa canteen ID. For example, the TU Wien canteen uses ID 1098 and its feed is available at https://schicho.github.io/openmensarss/1098.xml.

To save on bandwidth, only selected canteens are converted to RSS by default. If you wish to add another canteen, please include its canteen ID in the code at https://github.com/schicho/openmensarss.

If the RSS feeds are not up to date, check the GitHub Actions page for any issues with recent updates.

How to Use the RSS Feeds

You can subscribe to any canteen's RSS feed using Tuwel (TU Wien's Moodle platform) or your preferred RSS reader. Just copy the feed URL and add it to your dashboard or reader to receive menu updates directly from OpenMensa.

On Tuwel, enable edit mode (top right), add a new RSS block, and paste the feed URL. Enable item descriptions to see prices and allergen details.
